Pilgrims have been my vets for both my horses and dogs for a good number of years now. The entire team are utterly wonderful. But I have to put a special review and thanks for all to see for Equine vet Saara. Saara has cared for my retired dressage horse Artemis for the last couple of years with such devoted care and attention. He has had numerous medical issues, each one more challenging than the last, yet Saara has never wavered. Her professionalism combined with a visible pure love of horses is so inspiring. She has always put both myself and Artemis, my beloved boy, at complete ease and has always offered fantastic advice, treatment and dedication. This was especially evident when my boy faced his final hurdle last night in the form of another medical emergency and we made the heartbreaking decision to put him to sleep. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone there right by my side other than Saara, and I don’t think Artemis would have either. Thank you so much Saara for your wonderful, endless care and attention for my precious boy over the years. I cannot recommend pilgrims veterinary practice highly enough!!!

James has come to the rescue again for me Giving me the reassurance I needed and with his expert medical care and knowledge my Tilly ( Jack Russel )is on the road to recovery after getting accidentally trampled by my rather large Lab Thank you James And thank you to everyone else from the emergency phone call late Saturday to the speedy receptionist with the quick and easy booking for her treatment .

Visited the Cranborne practice, with my unfortunately very unwell duck. I couldn't fault the professionalism shown by the vet who was also very knowledgeable on the subject at hand. Pilgrims is a lot more than I expected from a vet in a village this small. They have helped me with everything from ear infections to tumors to euthanising and cremating my best friend when his kidneys failed. We brought two dogs with us from the States three years ago, and the vets at Pilgrims helped us get EU passports for them to travel to France. They taught me the differences in worming between countries, and they have kept up the regular thyroid treatment for my girl dog. They do all of this with the compassion and personal attention I wish I could find in a human doctor. I would whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone for their quality of care and the customer service with which they deliver it. Thank you to everyone from the vets to the front desk to the nursing staff. You are fantastic!

My lurcher Blue had a nasty branch puncture in his chest late on Friday, I spoke with James who suggested we keep an eye on it and bring him in on the Monday if necessary. Unfortunately the wound was worse than it first appeared, and after speaking with James on Sunday I got the dog over to their Fordingbridge surgery that afternoon. He was sedated, irrigated and stitched within an hour, and despite the dog feeling more than a little sorry for himself post procedurally I cannot fault the service and attention James gave us ... Top marks from us both!
